Gen 1 - Chapter 2

I finally had time to write this update; but after this one I'll be gone for Christmas break. That means: no sims, no updates, nothing. I'll try to at least get the pictures before I leave, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to. Anyway, merry Christmas and a happy New Year everyone!

Now, how to tell him?

If I was a flower growing wild and free
"Dem?"
"Yes, Akira? What is wrong?"

"Erm...I don't really know how to put this..."

All I'd want is you to be my sweet honey bee.
"Demetrio, you're going to be a father."

Whoops. Maybe that was the wrong way to break the news.

Although his shocked face was very cute.

"But Akira, that's wonderful!"
"You really think so?"
After a little while, both of us went to bed.
And after a week or so, Demetrio walked up to me.
"Akira? Say that we completely changed the house, what would you absolutely want to keep?"

"The bed and the bamboo, because I think they were my grandfather's most prized possessions in this house. I'd love to keep more, as much as possible, but that is the minimum."
Demetrio nodded. "Okay. And Akira, dear? Why don't you spend the day in the library? I'm sure you'd find some nice books to read."
I smiled and said I would certainly love that.
And I did; I found some lovely books, one of them on pregnancy, the other on logic.

I called my brother to tell him the news; it was the first time I contacted my family since I left, and he was overjoyed to hear from me. He told me that he was working in the military now, and making steady progress. He also said that dad had been very, very angry when I ran away, and that Akahana's wedding date was planned.
"He won't give her the same chance as the one you got."
"One daughter that ran away is enough proof of his bad parenting. But how is mom?"
"Mom ... is all right. Look, Akira, I must go now, but I'll visit you soon. What's the address again?"
"674 Farmer Valley Road, Riverview. Try to get mom to go with you, I'd love to see both of you again!"
"I'll try. Goodbye, Akira."
"Bye Atsuo!"

Demetrio came to the library after he had finished with work, telling me that he had ordered a taxi to take us home.

And if I was a tree growing tall and green

"By the way, Akira, what did you do with your eyes?"
"I - I removed the contacts I always wear. Do you like it this way?"
"Are you kidding me? I love it! I've never seen someone with red eyes before."
I laughed dryly. "My father did not like it. That is why I wore contacts before. But I thought that, since I will be an unmarried mother now, I might as well take them out."
Demetrio looked anxious, but didn't say anything.

"And? Do you like the view?" Demetrio asked, as he grabbed my hips from behind.
"Y-yes," I stammered.

All I'd want is you to shade me and be my leaves
Not very eloquent, I know. But that was because I saw, instead of the small cottage I had come to expect, a small house.

Demetrio walked me inside. I noted that he had hung up our High School diplomas. I didn't know where he had gotten mine, but he had even found the Most Likely To Get Married trophy I'd gotten! I also saw that he had kept the drawing table, couch and bookcase; but the TV, among others, was new.

He had also added a washer in our kitchen corner, and a dishwasher. New chairs surrounded the table.

The enlarged bathroom now contained, in addition to our shower, toilet and sink, a bath.

{Note: And it's finally big enough to get some kind of pictures!}

In the bedroom, the bed and bamboo had stayed, as I had requested. I also saw that the plants at the head of the bed and wondered if they weren't too big to fit there.

A computer now adorned the desk, which also had  a new chair.

And there was a chess board, too.

But the biggest surprise was the new door in the living room. I wondered how long Demetrio had been planning this.

It led to a mostly unfurnished room, that contained a crib and a bunk bed.

"And," Demetrio inquired when he had walked me to all the rooms, "do you like it?"

"I absolutely love it!"

"Good. In that case, I have a question for you. Wait a moment."

All I want is you, will you be my bride
He went down on one knee.

He took a small, black velvet box from his pocket, opened it,

And offered it to me.

Take me by the hand and stand by my side
I guess my face looked as nice as his had done when I told him about our baby.

All I want is you, will you stay with me?

I accepted, of course I did. I've never said that I wanted to be an unmarried mother, I only stated that I would be, since I didn't know he had been planning this.

After looking at the gorgeous ring,

I hugged him until he protested that I was crushing him.

Hold me in your arms and sway me like the sea.

--------And here is some engagement picture spam that I didn't use.--------

How could you say no to a face like this?

Or like this one...

And that was it. Don't forget to leave a comment, here or at the forum:http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/472524.page

Gen 1 - Chapter 1

I then took a look around the cottage. The side of the living room left from the front door.

The other side of the living room.

And  a very small bathroom.I had seen all of it but one room, and I hadn't seen one spring of evidence that it had been my grandfather's. It wasn't ... green enough.

As soon as I entered the bedroom, however, I knew that it had been my grandfathers. A Japanese bed and loads of plants adorned the small space.

And the rest of it.

I drew a little and then enjoyed a nice rest in my new bed, promising myself a look around town with my camera the next morning. I'm not a very good artist, but I enjoy drawing and taking photo's, so I decided to finish the house off with some homemade decorations.

And that's where my anxiety disorder decided to show up. Great.
"I'm all alone! What am I supposed to do? How am I supposed to do it? I'm all alone!"

And I was hiding,

Luckily, I managed to calm down and then went to the hospital, to get a job. Organ donor didn't sound all that well, but I knew that I would manage to climb up the medical ladder in time.

I decided to take a walk around town to calm my nerves, and when I walked past the police station, someone called out to me.
"Miss?"
I turned. "Yes?"
"Excuse me, but I wondered if you were new in town?"
"Yes, I am. Why do you ask?"
"Well, I've never seen you around and I wondered where you came from. It's not often we see new faces here in Riverview, and we hardly ever see a Japanese woman with blond hair."

 'Till you came along,

I smiled. "It's also not often you see a Spanish man with such blue eyes."
"I guess you caught me there.I'm Demetrio, by the way. Demetrio Salazar."
"I am Akira Masamoto."

"So, Demetrio, where are you from?"
"As you guessed, I'm from Spain. My father wasn't, but I grew up in Spain. I never really felt at home, and therefore I moved to Riverview. That's my story. Will you tell me yours?"

"Well, I am indeed Japanese. My mother's from Sweden, and that's where my hair comes from. But my brother and sister both have black hair."

Demetrio smiled. "I like your blond hair."
I blushed and thanked him, before asking if he'd like to come over the next day. He did and we decided that he'd come around four.

And showed me where I belong.

That night, I was happy and full of anxious joy. I couldn't wait for Demetrio to come over, but what if he didn't like me as I liked him?

I guess he couldn't wait either. It was three-thirty when he came. We talked for a while, until ...

"Haaaa-ya," I yelled, laughing. Demetrio tried to duck, but I hit him anyway.

Then it was his turn; and he managed to hit me too. We pillow-fought for a long time, until both of us were tired.

Panting, I proposed peace. Demetrio, breathing as heavily as I did, agreed.

You found me,

He then offered me flowers! I assured him I liked them and we talked some more. We agreed to meet again next week, at the same time. Our meetings on Saturday continued for a month or so, while I realized more and more how much I loved him.

"Akira, you're so pretty..."

When no one else was looking,

And then, one day, while we were watching TV, he slid his arm around me.

It was perfect. A romantic movie, Demetrio close to me... There was just one thing missing.

A kiss...

How did you know?

And one thing led to another...

And yet another...

"Demetrio, I think I'm in love."
"So am I, angel. So am I."

Unfortunately, the next months weren't as nice...

Every morning, after throwing up, I'd prepare breakfast, before Demetrio and  I had to leave for work, I to the hospital and he to the police station.

And every afternoon, we'd arrive at my place at the same time. I never asked why we went here and not to his place, but I never cared. I was with Demetrio. I also knew we behaved like lovesick teenagers, but that was no problem for me.

"Demetrio, what do you think about moving in here? As in, officially?"
"I think it's a great idea, angel. I'll come as soon as I can. And how about we make our relationship official too?"

"Is this answer enough or do you want more?"

"More," he said with a grin, before pulling me in an embrace and locking his lips on mine. He held me there until we were both short of breath.

How did you know?

And then, as usual, I prepared a dinner for two, while Demetrio painted. He claimed it'd help him with his job later on, and that we could sell the paintings.

I have to admit that he's a better artist than me.

And that I hope he's right, 'cause we might need more money soon...
